In our day and age more and more parents are busier than ever. It makes it so difficult to stay involved in your child's school activities and learning. The school is always trying to find new ways to make communication with parents easier.
One of the ways the school has adopted to communicate with parents is the LUMENS online gradebook system. Did you know that with LUMENS you can check your child's grades, see their lunch account balances, check on absentee, and contact teachers? All parents should have received login information when the program first began 2 years ago, however many parents do not know how to use the program.
The fifth grade teachers would like to know how many parents would come to a "LEARNING LUMENS" night where we show you how to utilize this program to it's fullest. If we get enough parents interested, we can schedule a date ASAP.

I think this is a great idea for the whole district. I have hade many parents ask me how this program works. Make sure and have all the parent login info for them. Many parents do not have that info.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alaina. It is a pretty easy program to navigate, but they need to remind parents each year about their log-ins/give them an opportunity to update their info...
